Holiday Inn Express, Snow Hill
At one point the tallest building in Birmingham, Snowill tower was completely renovated to become a 21 storey hotel in the heart of the city.
Brief
J&J to install, test and commission a BS 12845 LPCB-compliant twin electric OHIII 15m sprinkler water supply, complete with 135m3 GRP tank to feed wet sprinkler systems on the ground floor and basement areas. Additional BS 9251-compliant residential pumped water supply required to feed all areas of floors 1 to 19, in line with fire strategy. Renovation of existing BS 9990 wet riser water supply, involving replacement of electric pump and reconditioning of the existing diesel pump set in the basement required. Pumps to be deconstructed, then reconstructed, in order to safely locate them in position.
