Opera House - Winter Gardens

Every now and then we come across a project which provides extremely challenging circumstances and the Opera House at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool was certainly one of them!

We were tasked with the replacement of 450 sprinkler heads located 22-25m in the air and surrounded by an intricate cable pulley system operating the opera curtains. Normal access equipment was not an option and so we had to think outside the box. Rope access and Spider lifters were our only option to undertake the task safely.

The job was run by our service manager Phil Surridge, who was praised by our client for how smoothly the job went.
